Summer is Coming

It is truly beautiful, the lake that we live on. We will miss the beauty of it here in the warm months, the quietness and the wildlife. However, we’ll never miss the mortgage and no matter how comfortable we may get here we are still awaiting the day when our Father will move us. In the meantime, here are some beautiful pictures to share: DSC_0100See how shallow and pleasant it is to walk through the waters? It’s still too cold to do so but it won’t be long. DSC_0098 DSC_0094 One day after their studies, the kids came down here and played all day long making trails for water to flow through and roads for their trains and such. DSC_0091 DSC_0090 DSC_0088 DSC_0086 Here they are showing me some of their creations.DSC_0084 DSC_0082 Lots of hard work… DSC_0081 DSC_0080 DSC_0078 So peaceful looking… DSC_0076

  1. It does look very peaceful. Like living on a resort of sorts really. They will have good memories of living here for sure. It is hard at times but it is best to try to be content in all things. Gods timing is just perfect. Praying for you all!

  2. Do you own “feet” of lake shore? Our lake property is almost 300′ that we own. It looks like you have a lot of shore line! Is the lake deep? Our lake is only about 20-30′ at the deepest, rather shallow. And it’s a 1′ drop to get in the rocky shore! The worst selling point for us is the swampy area which we love, others don’t!

    • Wow, you have a lot of feet! Ours is more around 200 feet. The lake does get deep, I believe up to 400 feet in the deepest part. It’s shallow for a bit by the shore though. So, do you like the swampy area for the frogs and wild life? You are still trying to sell too?

      • We love the swamp! We love the peepers, and tadpoles and dragon flies. We love that its full of life! Next door they filled theirs in and you aren’t supposed to. I don’t know why they’d do that, they can’t walk on it anyhow- too soft.
Yes the lake lots are up for sale again, sigh. Praying we can sell it soon. We moved everything off to make it maybe more desirable? They can move in instantly if their financing doesn’t fall thru!

At our acreage if you walk to the property line (about 600′) there is swamp on the neighbors and you can hear peepers. But we can’t hear them from our garage/trailer. I guess we’ll have to try camping in a tent back there just to hear it again! :o)
